Responsibilities:
Drive all aspects of increasing sales in MaxLinear’s growing portfolio.
Participate in the formulation of sales strategy and objectives for sales and Field Applications Engineers (FAEs).
Motivate / Drive results measured by increased revenue and provide oversight to direct sales and indirect sale rep resources.
Develop, identify, and close new customer opportunities; gather information for other functions like marketing, engineering, and operations on new product development opportunities.
Provide realistic revenue forecasts to guide company activities such as hiring, preparing inventory, and managing cash flow.
Partner with marketing to plan and coordinate product launches including positioning, pricing, training, product promotions, support, and competitive response.
Provide the means for practical customer feedback to be made available to Marketing, Operations, and Engineering groups to drive continuous product improvements.
Provide periodical progress reports and plans to the Executive Staff.
Qualifications:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to present information.
Outstanding management and motivation skills.
Expert in analyzing and communicating sales patterns and trends.
Above average problem recognition, solving, and analysis.
Competent computer skills including MS Office and especially Excel.
BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 13 years of experience, or MS + 11 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 8 years of experience.
Compensation and Benefits:MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility, and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $206,000 to $253,000 Annually.
