This position will be working onsite from Miami.

Position SummaryThe Manager, Design is responsible for helping to develop, execute and evolve the brand’s creative look & feel, above all. You’ll need to be an adept art director, devising cutting edge creative formats and ensuring adoption by direct reports. You’ll be a steward of the brand, championing our look & feel to external creative agencies and various internal teams (i.e. Sales, Operations), maintaining our brand guidelines and training internal and external areas on those guidelines. You will bring a strategic approach to creative development, producing and guiding the production of marketing communications across print and digital media, including email, direct mail, banners, out of home, print ads, video, etc.

Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Creative Director ensuring brand standards are delivered across all creative assets and deliverables across the marketing funnel.Provide leadership and play a key role in the development of the creative strategy and vision.Devise new and evolving global creative programs to create visually stunning designs that meet the business objectives of the organization.Direct a team of internal designers on creative projects from concept to completion.Responsible for the design, layout and coordination of marketing collateral materials, such as: graphic assets (logos and product photos), promotional collateral, printed and electronic advertisements, direct mail pieces, banners, tradeshow graphics, catalogs, PowerPoint presentations.Drive brand consistency through ongoing development and maintenance of brand guidelines.Provide design direction and support to other internal communication teams (sales, ops, website, etc.) and review final materials, suggesting improvements as needed.Train internal and external departments on the brand guidelines.Develop new creative concepts for consumer and trade media supporting all aspects of the business (brand, destination, land experiences, loyalty program, special projects, etc.).Partner with external agencies to drive asset development and final approval.Timely review of all creative work.Coordinate timely production process of all deliverables with Marketing and collaborative team members.Provide creative direction for photo/video shoots.Manage designers, copywriters, editors and other dotted line agencies and partners.Lead by example and foster a culture of collaboration and passion for cutting-edge creative.Other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, And SkillsBA/BS required in Marketing, Advertising, Creative, or related field required.6-8+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, and/or agency experience.Must have proven experience in Graphic Design/Art Director role in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, In-house creative experience a plus.Experience in the pre-press process and a working knowledge of lithography.Global experience a plus.Good communication and presentation skills.

Essential Qualifications And SkillsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications or similar field from an accredited four-year college or university or directly related, equivalent experience.Portfolio of impressive real-world work samples showcasing versatility and impeccable design taste.Knowledge of email design and best practices.Knowledge of mobile design and best practices.Knowledge of print design and best practices.Proficiency with HTML and CSS a plus.Must be creative, detail-oriented and highly organized.Excellent idea person with a proven track record of developing, leading and implementing innovative and successful creative strategies.Hunger to learn continuing developments in the field.Expert communication, persuasion and presentation skills, both written and verbal.Leadership expertise in a fast-paced and complex environment; equally adept at managing up, down and across corporate hierarchy.Excellence in managing and motivating staff.Ability to achieve results within budget and target deadlines.Excellent planning, time-management and follow-through skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work on numerous projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in change management.Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential.Proven experience in Mac and Windows applications including Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, QuarkXpress, etc. is required.Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Adobe Premiere is a plus.

Physical Demands And Working EnvironmentThe position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as computers, printers and telephones.Requires flexibility to work occasional overtime, evening hours and weekends.Works in a typical office environment with moderate noise generated by telephone conversations, computer, printer, copier and light traffic.
