Vision 2030 is our long-term commitment to transform the treatment of autoimmune diseases by strengthening our leadership in neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) biology, investing in our continuous pipeline of differentiated antibody candidates, and scaling in a disciplined way to ensure innovation remains core to the argenx mission. 'Vision 2030' includes the following goals: 50,000 patients globally on treatment with an argenx medicine, 10 labeled indications across all approved assets, including VYVGART and potentially empasiprubart and ARGX-119 and five new molecules in Phase 3 development. The primary role of the Payer & HEOR Medical Science Liaison (PHMSL) is to identify and engage national and regional managed care thought leaders and healthcare decision makers in the payer landscape through fair-balanced scientific exchange focused on pipeline assets, emerging asset clinical trials and patient and healthcare economics outcomes. Our PHMSLs are field-based extensions of the Medical Affairs team, who represent and reflect argenx's values as a science-driven, patient-centric organization. They engage with key stakeholders involved in formulary review and other payer activities, serve as integral members of our cross-functional teams, and are experts on argenx's scientific data, products, trials, patient outcomes and health economics. Roles and Responsibilities: Payer & HEOR Engagement: Identify and engage healthcare professional decision makers and key formulary influencers in prioritized payer organizations

Conduct scientific payer presentations, facilitate discussion about argenx products, and respond to unsolicited requests for medical information on argenx products from healthcare professional decision makers

Understand target payer clinical decision-making process including strategic formulary placement, medical policy process, and the various clinical/pharmacy contacts within the organization

Insights Gathering and Competitive Intelligence: Provide scientific support for advisory board activities as appropriate

Gather and report healthcare professional decision maker and payer field insights and competitive intelligence

Attend assigned medical, scientific, and managed care conferences, meetings to maintain awareness of current issues and new data pertaining to argenx products and disease states, gather and report on field insights, and respond to unsolicited questions and requests for presentations from managed care healthcare professional decision makers

Cross-functional Collaboration: Compliantly work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and address medical support needs at key managed care, institutional, federal, and specialty pharmacy accounts for marketed and pipeline argenx products

Identify and facilitate potential pharmacoeconomic and managed care-initiated studies and refer requests for research to the appropriate argenx cross functional partners. Coordinate with other field medical Teams and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Teams as appropriate

Provide or assist with appropriate and compliant training and education of Market Access and Account Executives and others on disease states and clinical product information

Actively contribute to team initiatives, including development of resources and content to support Medical affairs and cross-functional team in line with Medical strategy

Skills and Competencies: Cross-Therapeutic Area, portfolio-oriented mindset and strong aptitude for effectively working with cross-functional teams

Scientific and customer-centric mindset with successful track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targeted objectives

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate productively with external stakeholders (e.g., medical experts, healthcare professionals)

Effective collaborator on cross-functional teams with a variety technical expertise and backgrounds

Able to quickly understand complex disease areas, treatments and clinical development plans

Thorough understanding of clinical trial phases and execution

Able to problem solve proactively and translate territory/organizational needs into action

Can operate with significant autonomy to assess priorities and customize decisions in real time

Flexible to travel within region based on business needs

Education, Experience and Qualifications: Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO)

3+ years field-based experience in biopharmaceutical industry

Managed care/payer field Medical experience required

Experience in clinical R&D and/or medical affairs preferred

Therapeutic area experience in neurology, hematology, immunology, and/or rare diseases is an advantage

Strong clinical, scientific, patient and health economics outcomes, and business acumen

Strong knowledge of the US healthcare landscape and managed care organizations

Strong understanding of compliance, legal and regulatory landscape related to HCP interactions

Proficient in Microsoft Office and VEEVA
