VALORANT, the world’s most popular tactical shooter, is looking for someone to lead a team responsible for building the systems and features that drive the game’s industry leading competitive ecosystem. As the Software Engineering Manager of the Match Services team, you will work closely with world class designers, producers, and engineers to drive the direction of our players core competitive experience, including how players are matched, ranked, and rewarded on their journey in VALORANT’s most engaging modes.

Responsibilities:
Manage a team of engineers to design, build, and deliver new in-game features for supporting VALORANT's competitive modes.
Provide technical direction for features that include matchmaking, skill progression, competitive seasons, and leaderboards.
Provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of features while continuously improving the software engineering quality and efficiency.
Build and manage strong relationships between disciplines.
Lead, grow, and coach team members to build talent to further their career goals.
Demonstrate a high bar of craft excellence for your team.
Cultivate your team's culture of collaboration, creativity and passion for game making.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
2+ years experience directly leading an engineering team either as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead & mentor.
2+ years of experience with C++ or equivalent.
2+ years professional experience building distributed systems at scale.
Experience working in the games industry.
Familiarity working in an agile environment.
Desired Qualifications:
6+ years of engineering experience.
4+ years of C++ experience.
4+ years of experience building distributed systems.
Experience working on competitive multiplayer features.
Experience with Unreal Engine.
