Position Description:

Serco is hiring an Assistant Workforce Manager to be part of a dynamic team supporting our US Navy. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver quality work performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships.
Serco supports our US Naval Ships with successful and safe work for our Navy customer by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Navy and the Military. You will join an active team to perform general manual labor to support this critical mission.
As the
Assistant Workforce Manager,
you will supervise the daily operation of support services for a simple organization in San Diego, CA.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.
In this role, you will:
Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations.
Spend your days interacting with employees in their work environment, onboard the ships.
Oversee clerical, administrative, and logistical support.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with established client standards.
Lead and direct the work of others per Serco's policies and procedures.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Perform a variety of tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens, be able to gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.
Ability to navigate US NAVY ships - climbing ladders and stairwells on a daily basis.
An Associates Degree or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Shipboard Experience.
Supervisory experience.
Familiarization with NAVSEA, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
Willing to travel up to 10%.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $68,974.77 to $112,085.42; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
