Cyber Security Analyst - Policy Writing and Documentation
Job Summary:
Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst - Policy Writing and Documentation. This is a Contract position.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst with a strong focus on policy writing and documentation based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect our organization's information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
•Policy Development: Develop, review, and update cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with the NIST CSF.
•Documentation: Create comprehensive and clear documentation for all cybersecurity policies, including diagrams, workflows, and control mappings.
•Compliance: Ensure that all cybersecurity policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
•Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
•Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity policies and practices.
•Incident Response: Assist in the development and documentation of incident response plans and procedures.
•Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive policy implementation.
•Audits and Reviews: Participate in internal and external audits and reviews of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity policy writing and documentation, with a focus on NIST CSF.
•Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
•Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and other cybersecurity standards and regulations.
•Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
•Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
•Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
