Aon has an exciting opportunity to join our Treasury Team in the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Group. The Director, Treasury will play a key role in supporting the company’s capital structure and capital allocation strategies, managing our investment grade credit ratings, and executing capital markets transactions. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeSupport optimal capital structure and capital allocation strategy, including long-term financing, credit facility syndication, and share repurchase strategy.Support Aon’s investment grade credit ratings; perform ongoing monitoring of leverage ratios, prepare debt capacity analysis, maintain corporate credit models, and play a key role in managing relationships with ratings agencies.Perform analyses related to debt capacity and capital structure as well as ongoing monitoring of debt portfolio to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and financial covenants.Assume lead role in the planning and preparation of quarterly meetings of the Aon Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.Play a key role in the execution of external debt capital market activities, including overall coordination with banks and internal stakeholders.Maintain relationships with key banking partners.Support M&A process, including funding strategy, due diligence, and integration; play a key role in supporting the deal team for large scale transactions.Partner closely with Controllership, Tax, FP&A, Legal and others to support governance projects and strategic initiatives.Complete ad-hoc Treasury projects and analyses of high complexity with minimal supervision.Proactively identify areas for focus and produce persuasive, data-driven arguments to support good decisions.Skills and experience that will lead to success8+ years of experience in Treasury or adjacent finance function.Strong business judgment and proven strategic and analytic mindset.Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas and recommendations in a clear, concise manner; experienced and effective in interacting with senior executives.Highly proficient in Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint.Demonstrated ability to proactively and independently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and drive for results.Adaptable and flexible; must be someone who can pivot and juggle many balls in the air.Credible, persuasive, and clear in both oral and written presentations.Team oriented and track record of collaboration across functional teams.Deep knowledge and understanding of corporate finance and capital markets.Strong leadership skills; ability to lead and influence others without functional reporting relationship.Bachelor’s or advanced degree (MBA) or equivalent years of industry experience.How we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
