About the Role:
Motive is looking for an Event Marketing Specialist to assist in the planning, coordination and management of various small to mid sized events. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, working alongside a collaborative marketing team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
What You'll Do:
Event Support: Assist in the planning, organization, and management of events, such as national and user conferences, by supporting the senior team in all aspects of event logistics.
On-site Event Assistance: Help oversee logistics during the event, including registration, booth setup, and customer engagement, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for attendees and internal stakeholders.
Event Communications: Draft event briefings and communications for internal teams and external stakeholders, both before and after the event.
Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external vendors to support project plans and ensure smooth coordination between all parties involved in the event.
Post-Event Support: Help gather and report on event performance by tracking key metrics like attendee feedback and lead generation. Assist in analyzing the results to offer insights for future events.
Budget Support: Assist in managing event budgets by ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining cost control and quality standards.
Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating with external vendors such as venues, catering, and production companies to meet event requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Approximately 1 year of experience in marketing, event planning, or internships in related fields.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic understanding of event management and marketing principles.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Creative, proactive, and resourceful with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Highly interpersonal, capable of building trust and respect, and driven to succeed.
Must be willing to travel between 25-30%
