Job Description: Sr. Creative Director for Prime Video Sports MarketingAs a Sr. Creative Director for Prime Video Sports Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class, visually striking creative for our live sports offerings. This role is focused on our marketing communications efforts, driving viewership for Prime Video's sports content via integrated marketing campaigns. As a key leader within our quickly-growing, fast-paced business, you will need to be an owner of your work and thrive in a frequently ambiguous environment. Sports by nature are ever-evolving and unpredictable, and to be successful in this role, a candidate must be able to be nimble and responsive when opportunities or challenges arise.
This leader will have the opportunity to add creative vision into the areas of storytelling, production efficiency, and identifying strategic priorities for our sports marketing creative. It requires both craft and big-picture thinking, as well as the ability to create content for major sports entities. The ideal candidate should have experience with efficient production processes and the ability to identify opportunities to streamline work. They should be able to step back and pinpoint areas where the team can focus on high-quality creative storytelling and high-impact opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the creative development of compelling marketing campaigns to promote major live sports events.
Articulate a clear creative vision for each initiative, guiding and inspiring both internal and external teams to deliver work that meets strategic messaging goals.
Provide exceptional creative thinking and solutions to define and advance our emerging sports brand.
Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all business areas, earning trust through consistent, high-quality work.
Create a wide range of creative assets for various internal clients (Leadership, PR, B2B, core team) to support the sports business and marketing team.
Proficiency in influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, with exceptional interpersonal communication skills that enable you to effectively manage internal and external relationships within a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Passion for music – Able to identify the right music for any given creative either through personal recommendation or by effectively providing sourcing partners with the right direction.
Experience developing assets for live sports campaign launches.
Experience with on-set direction of talent and production partners.
Experience with managing celebrity talent and athletes.
Understanding of foundational brand-building process, strategies and activities.
Fundamental understanding of how to build dynamic, clear and consistent brand systems at scale.
Experience building out and leading high-performing creative teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience developing Marketing creative across all channels (static, AV, digital) with emphasis in Sports.
Strong personal interest and passion for sports & entertainment, demonstrating a clear understanding and appreciation for the unique demands of the industry.
An idea-generating machine, with a proven track record of exceptional creative work demonstrated by a killer body of work across a full range of media types.
Killer design eye - Ability to articulate, conceive and creatively evaluate and shape design elements within creative and as needed be hands-on.
Superior strategic thinking and leadership skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects through completion.
Exceptional writing skills including clear and inspiring creative briefs, clever scripts, and compelling taglines.
Strong AV storyteller with a broad understanding of various tools and techniques to keep viewers engaged.
Effective problem-solver and strategic thinker; demonstrated ability to translate complex strategy and messaging goals into clear, compelling creative.
Exceptional communication skills – efficient and clear in day-to-day correspondence and providing notes/feedback to partner teams.
Excellent presentation skills. Ability to craft compelling narratives and guide audiences through work to drive successful outcomes.
High emotional intelligence – able to manage tricky conversations, empathize, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict.
Ability to parse testing data and research insights to identify elements for optimal creative results.
Ability to develop style guides and companion collateral to assist partners in executing creative.
Strong familiarity with end-to-end production process for development of entertainment marketing assets including pre-production, shoots, and post-production.
Fluent with Adobe Creative Suite.

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $249,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
