Little Sprouts is currently seeking an Executive Director to lead our team in Boston, MA.About Us:Little Sprouts is a network of 39 preschools and early learning centers across New England, committed to fostering a nurturing environment for both children and educators. We prioritize employee well-being, offering a guaranteed paid week off between Christmas and New Year’s, alongside a supportive and collaborative work culture.Role Overview:As the Executive Director of our South End, Boston MA location, you will be at the helm of the school’s financial, operational, educational, and cultural success. Your primary goal will be to create a thriving, healthy learning environment for our children and staff. Through strong communication skills—both written and verbal—you will inspire teamwork, leadership, and transparency across the school and within our broader network.Our South End school boasts large, naturally lit classrooms and a positive, fun-loving staff. The location is easily accessible by public transportation, and close to shopping and dining, contributing to an inviting atmosphere for families, teachers, and children alike.Core Responsibilities:Oversee daily school operations, ensuring compliance with state-mandated teacher-child ratios, safety protocols, and licensure regulations.Implement and uphold all company policies as outlined in employee and family handbooks.Lead all educational and cultural initiatives, ensuring that anti-bias and anti-racism principles are integrated throughout the school environment.Supervise curriculum development to meet or exceed NAEYC and state standards, ensuring a focus on play-based learning and social-emotional development.Manage school staff scheduling, payroll, and budgeting within P&L guidelines.Foster strong relationships with families, handling tuition, billing, and family communication through systems like Procare.Maintain staff and child files in compliance with state regulations, and lead preparations for licensure visits.Ensure regular fire drills and other safety procedures are completed.Act as a mandated reporter, ensuring all staff are trained and aware of their responsibilities.Qualifications:Director Certification (DII qualification).3-10 years of experience in early childhood education or classroom management.Strong understanding of play-based learning and social-emotional development.Demonstrated commitment to kindness, respect, and community engagement.Benefits:This position qualifies for an annual bonus plan based on qualitative and quantitative metrics.Up to 75% discount on your child's tuition (Option for the initial $5,000 of tuition to be taken out of your paycheck before taxes through payroll deductions.)Generous time offComprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and pet insurance.Free subscription to First Stop Health for 24/7 access to virtual doctors.401(k) plan with company match (eligibility starts after 60 days of employment).Opportunities for career advancement and ongoing coaching, including a dedicated Child Conference.Employee referral program available.$76,000 - $82,000 a yearIf our values and vision resonate with your approach to education and you’re eager to advance your career in Early Childhood Education, we’d love to connect!We’re Growing!Little Sprouts LLC is a subsidiary of Babilou Family, a global network of 1,100 early education and child care centers.
