We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our centralized Credit team in North America.What youll get to doManage the day-to-day collection process of assigned portfolio(s) to ensure timely and efficient recovery of outstanding receivables.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customersConduct monthly AR reviews with business and sales team membersUnderstand and provide solutions to balance the goal of maximizing sales while minimizing credit risk.Assist in first tier customer support by monitoring and responding to request via Credit Department Call Line and email inboxes.Drive resolution of customer issues, including process issues, disputes, and invoicing, to facilitate customer payment of undisputed balances.Secure and enforce statutory payment rights on a timely basis with respect to Builders Lien and Payment Bond law.Work closely with the Legal and Lien Processing teams. Ensure that litigation files are communicated and transferred on a timely basis to maximize potential recovery of doubtful accounts. Accumulate and retain all data and evidence necessary to allow successful prosecution.Minimize DSO and other KPIs directly and indirectly by championing disciplined credit processes, procedures, and focus
Essential Experience and SkillsBachelors degree or equivalent desirable3+ years of experience in Commercial Credit and CollectionsAbility to remain professional in confrontational conversationsAccount reconciliation experienceAbility to exercise integrity and discretionExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailCommitment and engagement through high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated drive and initiative.Persuasion and negotiation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Experience and SkillsProficiency in SAP, Oracle, JDE, GetPAID software an assetDirect industry experiences an asset.
