Specific tasks for the Senior Accountant
- The Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely month end close, properly accounting for all income and expenses
- Analysis and challenge of financial results. Variance analysis.
- Cost Analyis preferably within a manufacturing setting
- Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures and make change recommendations
- Accounting system, chart of account and cost center maintenance
- Comply with local, state and federal reporting and tax filing
- Support accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, payroll processes
- Maintenance and development of internal controls including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Production of financial statements
- Assist in the creation of insightful financial reporting for presentation to management
- Support budget and forecast processes
- Provide ad hoc analysis as required
- Support ad hoc projects and change activity
Skills/ Experience of the Senior Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Cost accounting experience a plus
- Current knowledge of accounting processes with ability to drive continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g. lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation)Senior Accountant
