Staff Accountant

Our rapidly growing client is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close:
• Conduct detailed reconciliations for various accounts, including cash, inventory, prepaids, liabilities, debt, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, both recurring and non-recurring.
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, including monitoring collections, filings, and payments.
• Research and understand complex state tax regulations.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, comparing actuals to budgets and prior periods.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Audits & Compliance:
• Serve as the primary contact for sales and use tax audits, collaborating with state auditors and providing necessary documentation.
• Support annual financial statement audits, providing information and analysis to external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Vancouver, WA - Hybrid flexibility

Salary: 58,000-68,640
