Position Overview:
This position will involve international travel, so candidates must have an active passport and be open to traveling as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting with specific experience in global accounts payable processes, along with a solid understanding of GAAP. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts payable functions, with a focus on month-end responsibilities including prepaids, accruals, and expense tracking.
Accounts Payable Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance before processing.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts payable activities.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Contribute to month-end closing, including posting of accrual and prepaid invoices.
- Develop and sustain filing systems for accounts payable documentation to uphold compliance standards.
- Provide additional administrative support to the accounts payable department as needed.
Accounts Payable Coordinator Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Strong accounting foundation with a thorough understanding of GAAP accrual accounting principles.
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in invoice verification and processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with vendors and team members.
- Ability to develop and manage filing systems to enhance departmental efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Active U.S. Passport.
Accounts Payable Coordinator Preferred Qualifications:
- Global AP exposure.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Multi-lingual capabilities are a plus.
