Credentialing & Payer Specialist

We are looking to expand our team and are currently seeking to employ a full-time
experienced credentialing specialist
with

Job Duties include, but not limited to:
Tracking of all credentialing applications, from submission through final approval, following up with each Insurance Payer on a routine basis to obtain application status, as well as move the credentialing process forward.End-to-end credentialing process of all new and current providers, and with all contracted Insurance companies in multiple states.Requesting all documentation required from clinicians to ensure the timely submission of all credentialing applications, including but not limited to licensure, CAQH, and other accreditations and certifications, etc.Initiating credentialing and re-credentialing applications for all payers and plans, both individual and group.Ensuring all providers are added to the appropriate Insurance existing group contracts.Maintaining all providers associated credentialing and contracting information, including expirations, paying close attention to detail.Communicating with management and providers regarding impending expirations of credentialing for all providers associated with each Insurance provider.Participating in various department meetings to provide feedback and address issues relating to the credentialing process.We have a dedicated team of physicians, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers and support staff committed to helping their communities stay as healthy as possible at every age and stage of life.
This will be a remote position, but will work closely with our North Carolina team, so preference will be given to candidates in that area.
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:
