Our Top Telecom Client is migrating off of a current CaaS platform to Wind River in a very tight timeline. We need innovative and forward thinking individuals.
Skills:
Cloud Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience with AWS or related cloudtechnologies, with a focus on automation and management.
Open RAN Knowledge: Fair understanding of Open RAN architecture and components,including knowledge of RAN CU and DU deployments.
Kubernetes Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, includingmanaging clusters, deploying microservices, and orchestrating containerized applications.
Networking Knowledge: Proficient understanding of networking concepts relevant toKubernetes and Open RAN, including ingress controllers, service meshes, and persistentstorage solutions.
Nice to Have Skills:
Advanced Kubernetes Skills: Proficient with Kubernetes tools such as Helm, Prometheus, and operators for cluster management.Scripting Proficiency: Experience in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate cloud and RAN operations.CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying cloud-native applications using tools like GitLab or Jenkins.Container Management: Strong background in container runtime management (Docker, containers) and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or relevant Open RAN certifications are a plus.Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile practices and experience in Agile project environments.
Day to day responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the provisioning, management, and optimization of cloud resources (AWS preferred) to support Open RAN deployments.Open RAN Architecture: Design and implement Open RAN architectures, including RAN CU (Centralized Unit) and DU (Distributed Unit) components, ensuring seamless integration with cloud environments.Kubernetes Management: Provision, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters that support Open RAN workloads, ensuring high availability and performance.Automation of Deployment Processes: Develop and automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD processes for both cloud resources and Open RAN components using tools like Airflow, Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab.Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement monitoring solutions for cloud and Open RAN environments and develop automated incident response protocols to minimize downtime.Scripting and Development: Create scripts to automate operational tasks and enhance efficiency across cloud and Open RAN systems.Resource Optimization: Continuously assess cloud and RAN architectures, recommending updates to improve resource utilization and scalability.Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides for cloud and Open RAN deployments.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and operations staff, to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions.Agile Participation: Engage in Agile methodologies, contributing to team ceremonies and helping drive the automation and integration efforts of cloud infrastructure with Open RAN systems.
