Position Overview:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for activities in the Welcome Center or Shipping and Receiving Office as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing drivers. The SRC is responsible for completing paperwork, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all paperwork is complete and error free. The SRC provides information both internally and externally as needed.
Starting Pay:
$16.00/hr
Day Swing Shift:
7:30am - 7:30pm ($1.00/hour)
Night Swing Shift:
7:30pm - 7:30am ($1.50/hour)
Position Responsibilities:
Sign driver in and out of the facility; verifying all paperworkAssign dock doors to the inbound and outbound loadsMaintain door accuracy and yard report for trailer inventoryProcess Bills of Lading and associated shipping and receiving documents.Reconcile inbounds with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activityCoordinate moves on the yard for the spotter/yard jockeyProvide a strong level of customer service to internal and external customersMaintain Inbound and Outbound SchedulesWork closely with shift management and leads to accomplish shift goals.Report errors and/ or issues to appropriate member of leadership to ensure accuracyParticipate in all training programs providedPerforms all duties in a safe and timely mannerPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent requiredPC Experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Previous AS400 and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) experience preferredBasic math and reading skills necessaryDetailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple task in fast moving environmentAbility to follow oral and/or written instructionGood interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external customersPreferred
Previous Shipping and Receiving experience in a warehouse environmentPersonal QualitiesStrong interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenPositive approach in all interactionsTeam orientated and self-motivatedAbility to multi-task calmly and effectively in a rapidly changing environmentSolid organization skillsWillingness to learn new systems as needed
Work Environment:
This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.
