A manufacturing client of ours in Donaldson LA is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Consultant/Accounting Supervisor to join their team (4 days in office/ 1 day from home).

Bachelor degree required and prior manufacturing experience preferred
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare monthly financial and various detailed analysesPrepare Sales and Tax returnsResponsible for daily cash management reportingMaintains company checking account – keeps a running total of available funds, maintains petty cash and reimbursementsGenerates timely financial statementsCreates general ledger weekly, as well as at month endMonthly journal entriesMonthly closings – distributes necessary reports to appropriate personnelApproves and determines credit limit for open account customersPrepare monthly reports, including accounts receivable reports, head counts, monthly sales reports, complete financial reports, etc.Review and recommend improvements and modifications to accounting systems and procedures; develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEngaged in the more critical and confidential aspects of accountingDuties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issuesWorks with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal effect minor external effect

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work and interact with departments throughout the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of MS OfficeWorking knowledge of SAP(Word, Excel, and Outlook); Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables preferredThorough knowledge and skills of general accounting concepts, techniques and principalsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsAccuracy and attention to detail; aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting5 years of related experience and/or trainingEquivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of SAP
