bout the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Warehouse Technical Architect to lead our data initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping our data strategy, ensuring data quality, and driving data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse infrastructure, while also leading the migration to modern cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:Data Architecture and Design:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data quality rules.Design and implement data integration and ETL processes using tools like Oracle DataStage and IBM IIB.Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security across the entire data landscape.

Cloud Migration:

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define and execute a cloud migration strategy for data warehouse workloads.Leverage cloud platforms like Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery to optimize performance and scalability.Migrate existing data warehouse components to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Data Governance and Management:

Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards.Utilize data governance tools like IGC, IKC, or Collibra to manage data quality, lineage, and metadata.Drive data quality initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data team.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in data warehousing and data architectureStrong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling techniquesExpertise in data integration tools like Oracle DataStage and IBM IIBDeep knowledge of data governance and metadata management principlesExperience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Lake)Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:

Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake)Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)Knowledge of automation and AI tools for data warehousingbout the Role:

Location:

Richmond Area (Hybrid)Work Arrangement:

2-3 days on-site per week for the first 3 months, then once a month thereafter.
