Job Summary:
The Solutions Architect III will design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud solutions for clients and stakeholders. This role requires extensive AWS expertise and experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on aligning solutions with business goals and IT strategies. The architect will provide technical leadership, optimize cloud resources, and ensure cloud security, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Develop and manage application architecture models, ensuring adherence to best practices and application requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring high standards in solution delivery.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness; implement best practices for resource usage.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into effective AWS solutions.
• Ensure all AWS solutions are secure and compliant, following best practices in cloud security and governance.
• Stay updated on AWS services and features, applying new knowledge to improve solutions.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, communicating designs effectively to stakeholders.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• 8+ years in IT with a minimum of 5 years in cloud architecture, and 3 years focused on AWS.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (required); additional AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security practices (IAM, KMS, Security Groups).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline).
• Proficient in networking concepts (VPNs, Direct Connect, VPC peering).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
• Expertise in application optimization for performance and scaling.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
• Leadership skills with experience mentoring team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.
• Experience with Contact Center Technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Certifications (if any):
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (required).
• Additional AWS certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer) are beneficial.
