JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Elementary Assistant Principal assists in creating conditions to ensure that all students acquire essential knowledge, skills and dispositions. In order to achieve this purpose, this document outlines the minimal competencies and characteristics that a candidate must develop. The Elementary Assistant Principal reports to the Elementary Principal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Elementary Assistant Principal will have the following:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Be fingerprinted and clear a criminal background check.Education: Must have an Administrative certificate. Master's in Educational Leadership is preferredExperience: Education related experience is required. Teaching experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ---Not limited to the following:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 30% walking and 20% standing. The job is performed under temperature variations depending on the season and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
