Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Lead the marketing team to develop annual brand strategies, drive revenue growth, and expand our presence in the market.

Oversee email, marketing automation, website, database marketing efforts, social media marketing, graphic design and drive lead generation and grassroots marketing efforts.Emphasized focus on driving individual ticket revenue, group and season ticket revenue, merchandise revenue, and sponsorship revenue through strategic campaigns.

Lead creative team including Graphic Designer, Social Media Manager, and Marketing Coordinator to visually bring the brand to life via innovative and visual storytelling.Work hand-in-hand with the Communications department to ensure accurate and timely messaging of promotions, news, and updates.Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and support to marketing staff and evaluate performance on an ongoing basis to cultivate career growth.Create, manage, execute and lead integrated communications and marketing efforts in support of revenue goals including ticket sales, partnerships, game day revenue and merchandising.

Conduct meetings to communicate all promotional logistics for upcoming gamesSeason ticket campaignHoliday hat trick campaignTheme-night group marketing campaignsIndividual ticket game-by-game campaigns

Oversee the development of revenue-generating content, tone, and voice including orchestrating the development of collateral messaging, media assets, and signage, and determining placement in compliance with brand standards.Generate mass market brand awareness by developing paid and earned campaigns and initiatives, working with local advertising partners on strategic advertising schedules.Lead the process of idea generation for new, large-scale events and new revenue streams including, but not limited to, promotions, ticket packages, sponsor assets, events, and theme nights, and work in tandem with the Experiential Marketing team to build the annual game promotions calendar.Drive league-wide best practices and represent the Iowa Wild be becoming marketing leader within the American Hockey League.Leverage innovative technology such as marketing automation, AI, and programmatic advertising to find new ways to reach, connect, and engage consumers while also driving new leads.Lean into data and analytics to more efficiently and effectively create campaigns, increase revenue, and decrease costs.Build and manage fan development budget alongside Experiential Marketing team including technology infrastructure management, memberships and subscriptions, outside events, game day events and labor, part-time wages, promotions, and advertising.Create a comprehensive and strategic plan to drive maximum revenue across all channels and manage and execute all trade advertising partnerships.Establish a strong brand by implementing a strategic marketing mix, building relationships with media partners, and developing an innovative and inviting experience.Lead the integration of brand strategy throughout the organization.Manage info@iowawild.com and marketing@iowawild.com accounts on a daily basis, ensuring communication to any necessary internal departments and staff members.Build out season promotional schedule working hand-in-hand with the Experiential Marketing team, as well as the Ticket, Sponsorship, and Merchandise departments to ensure a cohesive, detailed, and immersive plan.Order promo items in a timely manner working alongside sponsorship department to provide opportunity for partner activations.Oversee management of technology partner platforms such as website (carbonhouse), Lytho (creative project software application), and app (HockeyTech).Work hand-in-hand with the Director, Team Services to maintain positive relationships with hockey operations department to utilize players and coaching staff for promotion of promotional efforts, sales campaigns, and other specific needs.Establish and maintain positive relationships with all leaders across the organization to ensure strong communication and collaboration.Gameday Responsibilities:

Build out, manage, and staff a welcoming and interactive fan relations area on the concourse that provides value to our new and existing fanbase.Create an innovative and interactive kids zone on the concourse to provide experiences for our fans and work with the game presentation manager to staff.Manage marketing team's gameday roles and responsibilities - keeping our service first mindset top of mind and helping to pitch in where needed.Assess in-game graphics for potential improvements and implement an efficient action plan for enhancements.Help ideate and execute interactive experiences for season ticket members.Assist with gameday set up and breakdown.Check in with social media staff and be available during home and away games to assist with any questions or needs.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's preferred.Knowledge & Experience

4+ years of experience in a leadership role in sports marketing or a related industry.4+ years of experience with media buying.Proficiency in graphic design programs preferred.Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, with a knack for data analysis.Personal Attributes
