Our client in the business consulting and services industry is currently looking to add a Data Strategist to their team! My client is seeking a strategic and analytical Data Strategist to drive data-driven decision-making and create actionable insights for our defense-related projects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust data background, understanding of data analysis methodologies, and experience within the Air Force or Department of Defense (DoD) infrastructure.

Develop and implement comprehensive data strategies that align with organizational goals and support mission-critical operations.Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data and analytics needs within the organization.Oversee the creation and governance of data policies, standards, practices, and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, make recommendations, and forecast future needs.Collaborate with IT and security departments to ensure alignment with cybersecurity policies and compliance with applicable regulations.Drive continual improvement of data processes and platforms through innovative solutions and emerging technologies.Liaise with key stakeholders, including military and civilian personnel, to facilitate data sharing and understanding of data-related initiatives.Provide expertise and guidance in the selection and implementation of data management and analytics (*analytic*) tools.Communicate insights and strategic plans to executive leadership and other relevant parties, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable business (*objectives*)language.Manage projects and initiatives from conception to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data strategy or analytics role, preferably within the Air Force, DoD, or a defense contractor environment.Comprehensive knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, data modeling, and data mining.Expertise in statistical analysis and proficiency with analytics software (e.g., (* Power BI, Tableau, SAS, R, Python).*)Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and conduct complex data analysis.Strong project management skills and the ability to lead teams effectively.Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
