We have an immediate need for a

Learning & Development Specialist ,at our Chicago, Illinois location. The Learning & Development Specialist will design and develop learning programs in support of the Sloan Strategic Initiatives. This role will be responsible for improving the knowledge, skills, and productivity of employees through the development and promotion of learning programs. The individual will monitor and report the effectiveness of training and will audit for on-the-job application of new skills and competencies.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the business to identify training needs and develop a variety of programs utilizing various learning tools.Partner with internal resources to develop eLearning courses in support of onboarding programs.Produce engaging eLearning courses, effective testing instruments, and assessment procedures to evaluate learner comprehension, retention and training effectiveness upon completion of instruction.Develop complementary documentation, manuals, and work guides, for employee audiences with varied skill levels throughout the organization.Develop and conduct train the trainer sessions so that others are able to deliver the content and material effectively and as designed.Partner with HRBPs to create and deliver learning programs in various locations.Administer, curate, schedule, and assign learning, and run reports within the Learning Management System (LMS).Oversee vendor management (research and source vendors, obtain quotes with pricing, monitor turnaround times and quality of work, and evaluate performance).Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or related field. Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design is a plus.3-5 years' experience in instructional design using adult learning theories and methodologies.3-5 years' experience in Learning Management Systems (i.e., SuccessFactors, Cornerstone).Intermediate skills in audio/video production.Intermediate skills in e-learning softwareStrong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.Possess a strong work ethic working under minimal supervision.Demonstrated facilitation skills.CPLP, ATD, Langevin, or other training certifications preferred.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
