The Role:
As a Senior global PR manager you will be responsible for driving forward the global communications strategy for the business sitting as part of the communications function. Your primary focus will be on the US market but you will also be working closely with local teams in India and China on their PR efforts when required as well as ensuring consistency in our global messaging.
This role requires a solid understanding of corporate and brand communications, how to effectively manage PR agencies, management of public relations campaigns related to corporate announcements, original content/research, and industry partnerships/initiatives and product news. Your objective will be to raise awareness of Stenn, connect us with SMEs and establish us as a category leader in B2B FinTech.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Stenn's Head of Communications and Corporate Marketing to plan and execute global communication and PR campaignsOwn our story and proactively identify opportunities for Stenn across a variety of media channelsBuild on PR and thought leadership opportunities, develop press releases and media alerts, and lead sell-ins which support our missionDevelop a core global PR approach and support other regions with core themes and contentBuild a spokesperson bench and identify core topics as well as providing media training and guidanceManage and maximize opportunities for times when our CEO and other members of our executive team are in regionManagement and prioritization of inbound enquiries, material development, tracking and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basisBuild and maintain relationships with relevant technology media and influencers and manager our regional PR agenciesPartner with our broader content and marketing teams to identify and promote our positioning on key industry topics and newsIdentify initiatives until year end across our regions and build a PR calendar eg: customer/ media workshops, press trips, bigger events / conferencesSupport 2 large scale global PR campaigns by analyzing and localizing content, research and data. Create all press materials and identify and build contact lists of our target media across the regionsQualifications:
A Bachelor's degree. Preference will be given to Communications / Journalism graduatesA minimum of 5 years' PR experience. Ideally in technology or fintechStrong media relationships across a variety of media from consumer to tech and the portfolio to prove itExcellent oral and written communication skills with a knack for simplifying complex topics and technologies and economic trendsAn interest in economic trends, trade and supporting SMEsUsed to driving comms yourself and getting your hands dirty - this means writing, pitching, calling and meeting journalists on a regular basis rather than always deferring to the agencyA desire to do the research before campaign launches - including competitor landscape and positioning
