DevOps / Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructureWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processesDesign and execute tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software systemsCollaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and identify potential issuesIdentify and document defects and issues found during testing.Working with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedPlanning projects and being involved in project management decisionsBasic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience5+ years relevant experience in spacecraft and/or launch vehicle software developmentExperience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering roleExperience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) software test bedsProficiency with Git and GitHub workflowsExperience with Bash scriptingExperience with Linux network managementExperience with network debuggingWorking knowledge of databases and SQLProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spiritPreferred qualifications

Demonstrates professional experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft software systemsExperience with spacecraft embedded C/C++ flight software, found test software, and simulation software.Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced collaborative interdisciplinary team environmentSoftware quality practices associated with the organization like NASA, FAA, etc.Capable of working both independently and in a team environmentStrong coordination, organization and communication abilitiesAdditional Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environmentSchedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility requiredWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as requiredCompensation and Benefits

Competitive salary based upon experience - $115,000 - $135,000. The salary range posted is a targeted range for budget of position.
