The Senior Account Manager is responsible for building strong client relationships, working with the Account team to drive deliverables and planning and executing professional education speaker programs including planning Congress and Ad Board meetings. This may include recruitment, scheduling and coordinating dates, times and location, contracting, logistics, facilitating and reporting. The Senior Account Manager has direct responsibility to ensure appropriate contracting and compliance regulations are in place, manage all assigned projects, and collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of events.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and third-party agency vendors, building strong relationships and delivering strategic insights to streamline Congress planning and exceed client goals. Act as a pivotal link between the client and the agency.Lead the planning and execution of client programs, including congress-related activities. Oversee project deliverables, timelines, and budgets to ensure seamless execution from kickoff to delivery.Onsite Congress Support: Coordinate key Congress logistics in collaboration with logistics vendor and client teams, including housing blocks, meeting suites, and industry program logistics. Serve as the primary liaison to the client and closely collaborate and coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure all congress-related activities are executed and exceed client expectations.Ensure congress-related programs and other deliverables meet healthcare compliance regulations.Facilitate kickoffs and regular status meetings, both internally and externally. Ensure all teams understand project scope, congress details, and deliverables while keeping clients updated on progress.Ensure alignment with client objectives, propose new initiatives, and provide guidance on congress engagement plans and HCP interactions.Collaborate with clients to obtain feedback, manage revisions, and ensure timely approvals. Present project updates and congress plans to ensure client satisfaction at each stage.Monitor project budgets, including congress-related expenses. Assist in creating estimates, tracking financials, and ensuring projects stay within scope.Requirements:
2-3 years in a pharmaceutical advertising agency or healthcare communications, with experience managing client relationships and congress-related activities.Strong decision-making abilities, with the confidence to manage high-profile client programs, including congresses, and mentor junior staff.Skilled in persuasive communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.Congress & Event Coordination: Experience in coordinating congress logistics, including housing blocks, meeting suites, and HCP engagement plans.Expertise in project management, including budgeting, timelines, and resource coordination, particularly for congress-related projects.Familiarity with Veeva, Ziflow, or other digital routing platforms.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience managing large data sheets and track information across platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, respond to challenges with confidence, and adapt strategies as needed.About You:
