Job Summary:The National Gallery of Art is an art museum in Washington, D.C. The Gallery serves the nation by welcoming all people to explore and experience art, creativity, and our shared humanity. The Gallery develops the understanding of art through collecting and exhibiting in ways that reflect our nation and its histories; preserving its collections for future generations; and delivering compelling public programs and events, engaging digital experiences, and groundbreaking scholarship.The National Gallery uses Information Technology (IT) in the execution of its mission. The information technology services are managed by Treasurer's office of Digital Solutions (TDS). These services are delivered through various departments within TDS. The purpose of this work is to procure customer-oriented, technical contractor personnel to supplement the National Gallery's information technology staff supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 User Services/Helpdesk support for endpoint computing and end-user services.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Troubleshoot variety of software applications.Manage the PC refresh program transferring all user data remotely and installing require software applications.Create, deploy and manage VMWare virtual desktops as well as configured customize pools for specific operational needs.Assist in the deployment of new applications and hardware.Assist with creating and diagnosing problems with print queues.Experience troubleshooting computers, printers, and scanners.Handle escalated service requests for hardware and software support.Work with other departments to fulfill technical requests for exhibitions and programs.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve simple to moderately complex technical support issues independently.Experience with the installation and updating Windows.Experience in managing Active Directory.Experience with Microsoft Office and M365 including Power Apps.Experience creating user accounts and shared calendars.Experience with remote access setup.Strong oral, written and analytical skills required.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to establish a solid working relationship with end users and peers.Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline is preferredMinimum of 5 years work experience requiredBenefits and Perks:
