DescriptionTorgeson Electric is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented VDC Specialist to support our Virtual Design and Construction efforts.Job Description
The VDC Specialist will be responsible for utilizing VDC tools and processes to create and manage BIM models, ensure project coordination, and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project execution. This role involves hands-on work with VDC technologies, such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, and requires a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction.PayThe salary range for this position is competitive and relevant to experience.Hours40 or more per weekTransportationTravel allowance provided, if requiredLodgingProvided if RequiredReq. Skills3-5 years of experience in VDC or electrical detailing.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and other VDC tools.Strong understanding of BIM modeling, clash detection, and coordination processes.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially with project managers, engineers, and field teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for project data tracking and reporting.Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed BIM models for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and project alignment.Support the coordination of VDC efforts with project teams, including clash detection and resolution.Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of VDC tools into project workflows.Participate in project coordination meetings and provide input on VDC-related concerns.Utilize VDC tools like Revit and AutoCAD to deliver high-quality design and modeling services.Stay current with industry trends and new VDC technologies to improve project workflows.Assist in the creation of as-built models and documentation for project handovers.Benefit PackagePaid time off, Paid holidays, 401K option with employer match, ESOP, and Health/Dental insurance.Torgeson Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
