The BSA/AML & OFAC Quality Assurance Officer reports to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Quality Assurance and is responsible for performing ongoing assessments and quality assurance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bank's AML and Sanctions compliance policies, assurances, and procedures. The incumbent of this position shall be responsible for adhering to the provisions stated in the Employee Accountability Policy Statement.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIESAccountable for job performance actions, which includes decision(s) impacting position responsibilities conforming to the bank's risk appetite and tolerance levels as articulated in the bank's Risk Appetite & Tolerance Framework, mitigating violations or breaches to the bank's risk appetite in the exercise of their empowerment and the achievement of desired job performance outcomes as directed by Management.Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating the Quality Assurance ProgramConduct Quality Assurance review of the bank's BSA/AML and OFAC processes, working in a collaborative effort with workstream stakeholders (KYC, Financial Intelligence & OFAC teams) during such reviews.Utilize Actimize, Prime, and other systems as well as computerized files saved on Drives or SharePoint where necessary during quality assurance reviews.Accurately document and save files to support findings of quality assurance reviews conducted.Analyze KPIs (key performance indicators) to ensure that existing AML and compliance processes are at a level commensurate with regulatory expectations.Submit timely accurate documentation of performed analysis and assessments of quality assurance matters to the Head of Regulatory Risk & Compliance Governance and Quality Assurance.Help Identify possible weaknesses, risk exposures and improvements required to the AML/Sanctions infrastructure and communicate findings to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Quality Assurance.Identify possible improvements to the AML/Sanctions infrastructure and communicate findings to Compliance through Head of Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Quality AssuranceParticipate in ad-hoc projects such as new system implementation, system model validation etc.Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Quality Assurance to respond to audit and regulatory requests for information and during audits/examinations.QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:Minimum 1- 3 years of AML, compliance, investigations, quality assurance, risk operations or other related experience preferably in a bank of a foreign banking organization.Strong knowledge and understanding of BSA, AML, OFAC, FinCEN, and the USA PATRIOT Act laws and regulations.Knowledge of top AML compliance platforms (FIS, Actimize, etc.) is a plus.General:Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.Excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills.Uses an analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing a team environment coupled with attention to results and a sense of urgency.Proven ability to use excellent judgment and solid leadership.Education & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.ACAMS certification and membership.PC skills:Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Lexis-Nexis, World-Check, Banker's Almanac, etc.Strong internet search capabilities.**Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental and Bank needs.
