This role specializes in electrical design for power plant projects. It requires in-depth knowledge of industrial construction to develop electrical system designs with minimal, high-level input from engineers and proficiency in 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software.Electrical Design:

Translate general project requirements into working electrical designs using 3D CAD software.Produce detailed design drawings for power plant construction, including:

Equipment arrangements.Conduit and cable tray layouts.One-lines, schematics, and wiring.Installation details.

Ensure designs align with project specifications, industry standards, and quality control processes.Incorporate equipment suppliers' submittals into electrical designs.

Collaboration:Work closely with electrical engineers.Integrate electrical designs into multi-disciplinary models (e.g., mechanical, structural) for seamless project coordination.Solicit technical input from equipment and material suppliers.Assist in mentoring junior designers and engineers on best practices in 3D CAD modeling and power plant design.

Quality Assurance:Participate in design reviews, ensuring accuracy and quality of electrical designs to meet project requirements and industry standards.Coordinate with the engineering team to resolve design-related issues and support construction activities.

Required Qualifications:10+ Years Electrical DesignIndustry Experience:

Experience in power generation or heavy industrial electrical designFamiliarity with power plant construction standards and processes.

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD and 3D Microstation with a strong focus on electrical system design.Bentley Raceway Cable Management (BRCM) Experience is a plus.Revit Electrical and raceway modeling experience is a plus.

Communication and Teamwork:

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Training and Leadership:

Experience in mentoring and development of junior staff is a plus.

Base Compensation

: $55-62.50/HourStanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation. The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.

Stanley's Approach to FlexibilityWhile some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home.
