The Business Continuity Analyst position provides support for the administration and analysis of Thrivent’s enterprise Business Continuity Program including the development, implementation, and maintenance of plans and the execution of business recovery exercises in collaboration with divisional/business unit leaders. The position assists with helping business areas in identifying the risks to their critical business functions and consults and advises key internal partners to understand, accept, and/or minimize risk. This position handles routine Business Continuity tasks and provides support to others on the Business Continuity Team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the implementation of the annual Business Continuity Management program for assigned business areas. This includes performing process assessments /prioritization , assisting in business continuity plan (BCP) development, and planning, conducting and evaluating BCP exercises.

Work as an internal consultant and provide guidance, expertise , training and support the business recovery planning and readiness process of business areas.

Utilize tools and technology that will assist in the development and storage of the various plans related to business continuity.

Support design of annual program requirements, procedures, and key program deliverables

Champion Business Continuity awareness throughout the enterprise

Create exercise plans, Incident Response Plans, presentation decks and conducts tabletop exercises as requested .

Provides support to the Corporate Crisis Management team and other incident response teams as needed based on the incident and impact.

Support the Business Continuity Management office in other initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or significantly relevant and substantial work experience .

0 - 5 years’ professional experience in business continuity, crisis management, emergency preparedness or similar fields involving continuity/crisis planning, response and recovery.

Ability to work in an environment where changing priorities are the norm and flexibility is a must ; demonstrate skills in managing multiple tasks.

Strong verbal and written communication skills .

Preferred:

O rganizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across business areas.

Attention to detail and excellent follow through .

Exp osure to managing cross-functional programs.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $61,105.00 - $82,672.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
