What you’ll be doing...

The Data & Analytics (D&A) group is a cross-functional, center of excellence at Verizon. As part of the team, you will be helping to create and deliver a comprehensive measurement and reporting approach for all of Verizon. In this role, you will interact with teams working throughout Verizon bringing new experiences to life for our customers.

In this role, you will be working closely with data Product Manager/Owners to build and deliver business intelligence solutions. This includes data-driven analysis, understanding what’s going on with the business, performing use case ROI metrics and campaign measurements, coming up with Next Best Action (NBA) insights, Journey Analytics, Path analysis & Optimization and making the right recommendations.

You’ll be the expert for our Insights & Analytics group by providing valuable insights and helping business to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include:

Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.

Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and preserving the data integrity of these sources.

Analyzing complex data sets, draw conclusions and relationships and develop actionable recommendations.

Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities garnered from the data analysis.

Preparing executive level presentations to clearly articulate results of complex analysis through strategic storytelling.

Summarizing, grouping, and visualizing data sets and information for management and executive review utilizing various tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, QLIK and Adobe analytics.

Collaborating in cross-functional teams to source new data, develop schema requirements, and maintain metadata.

What We’re Looking For…

You are good with numbers and love to dig into data to find the story. Crafting reports and dashboards is a fun afternoon for you. You’re able to translate numbers into compelling stories and tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience’s function and level to meet their needs. You are detail-oriented and know how to be passionate about what really matters. You have a knack for understanding and visualizing just the right way to share data and practical insights so that people can

understand. You enjoy aligning various work streams to ensure the same vision and goal is achieved.

You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Proven ability to write Complex SQL queries and scripts using relational databases like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, or Google Cloud, and pulling data from SQL/EDW data warehouses.

Experience with Adobe Analytics or related platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Experience developing general reporting, KPIs, metrics, and attributes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to develop and use storytelling to communicate information.

Strong problem solving, analytical, and research capabilities.

Experience managing time-bound project deliverables for multiple stakeholders.

Scripting or analytical programming experience (e.g., Python, R, SAS).

Data visualization skills and hands-on experience using Tableau and/or Qlik with

SQL skills.

Experience with dashboards creation using Tableau/QLIK.
