POSITION SUMMARY:
Advanced Energy is looking for an individual with proven ability to leverage analytics and data to drive results and planning. The Senior Pricing Manager is responsible for managing and driving AE’s System Power Products pricing strategy and related cost reduction activities in close conjunction with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Operations.
Note: We are considering applicants at the Manager and Senior Manager level for this role, which will be determined based on qualifications/experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the strategy and plan to optimize pricing activity across the BU and works with compliance, legal, strategic analytics, product teams, and operations.
Create targets and establish performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies.
Analyze price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels.
Use market research and competitive analysis as needed in these activities.
Take part in and manage assigned areas of annual business planning.
Work closely with external stakeholders, key customers and channel partners to ensure expectations are met.
Guide other BU stakeholders involved in pricing regarding price model development and analytics for prize optimization.
Drive cost reduction initiatives.
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with audit, legal and regulatory requirements.
Own the budget for all pricing related activities including training, consultants, software, memberships and subscriptions.
Drive key metrics and continuous improvement as defined.
Stay updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Location: Denver, CO: Must be able to travel occasionally domestically and internationally as required
Environment: Works in a standard office environment
Extended hours will be necessary from time to time; significant amount of interdepartmental communications.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Proven ability to leverage analytics and data to drive results and planning
Ability to structure market research and competitive analysis
Pro-active self-starter and strategic in approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
Organizational, planning and coordination skills
Business savvy and strong negotiation skills

EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
5+ years' experience with progressive levels of responsibility developing and executing pricing programs involving internal and external stakeholders
Experience with IC/Semiconductor device manufacturing, power supply equipment or semiconductor equipment
Experience in the presentation of go-forward proposals to management teams
Desirable:
Experience in using Model-N would be an advantage
EDUCATION:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Business (or equivalent) at minimum
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 per year.
