Overview
The editorial intern will provide support for the offices of two executive editors of commercial fiction and nonfiction, with daily direct communication with the editorial assistant. The intern will learn about the editorial and publishing processes, attend meetings, assist with the administrative tasks, and complete projects as determined by the demands of the publishing cycle.
Responsibilities
Complete research for authors, genres, trends
Compose copy
Evaluate manuscript submissions and write reader reports
Administrative duties (e.g. mailing, pulling files, updating content management systems)
Qualifications
Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office for two days each week, totaling14 hours, from February 3 to April 11, 2025. The specific days will bedeterminedbased on both the candidates' availability and the hiring manager's requirements. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
