The Vice President, Corporate Controller is a key leadership role at Sevita, responsible for driving the strategic direction of our world-class corporate accounting function. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, this position plays a critical role in shaping Sevita's financial future, including potential IPO preparations. The VP, Corporate Controller leads and mentors a team of employees including direct reports, while influencing controllership functions across the company's operating groups.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analysesDrive the strategic direction for accounting operations, external financial reporting, tax, back office, and financial controlsAdvance close and reporting processes, and oversee compliance with key internal controls to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, SEC, and other relevant regulationsServe as the main liaison with the Audit Committee and own relationships with independent auditors, tax advisors, and other external partiesLead IPO readiness initiatives and play a key role in preparing the company for potential public offering or strategic mergerDirect the company's effort to significantly upgrade the current Oracle-based ERP and other relevant systemsProvide day-to-day leadership to both business and accounting functions to perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and compliance activitiesBenchmark world class companies to continuously improve the effectiveness of financial control processes to support timely financial reporting to management, shareholders, and relevant external agenciesAnalyze the need for enterprise-wide planning enhancements, make recommendations, and support implementationEstablish and maintain accounting policies, systems, processes, and proceduresPrepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholdersDrive financial control strategy across Sevita's three operating groupsEnsure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reportingResponsible for the maintenance of an effective control environment under SOX 404 for the accounting operations overseen. This includes both key and non-key controls and extends to the timely updating and modification of control design where necessary and the oversight of control remediation activities should exceptions be encountered in testing.Performs other related duties and activities as requiredManages and develops assigned personnel. Maintains succession planning mindset, completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred10+ years of experience in corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership roleStrong foundation in public accounting with successful transition to corporate financePublic company experience and/or exposure to IPO processes highly preferredExpert knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and policiesDemonstrated financial program management ensuring adequate controls, reporting, and research supportProficient knowledge of ERP systems and systems implementations, preferably OracleExperience in multi-unit healthcare services or consumer services a plusUnderstanding of key operational performance drivers in a high-growth environmentExposure to operating in a PE-backed environment beneficialCPA (or equivalent) certification requiredStrategic Agility:
