SUMMARY

Responsible for contract administration functions on new and existing contracts as assigned, including examining, analyzing, reviewing, and preparation of documentation for approvals. Processing contractual requirements in data systems. Managing contractual files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and administer routine correspondence and contracts documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal.

Prepare, organize, and maintain contract records and files.

Assist contract and subcontract professionals in working with internal or external business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.

Review and analyze contract actions for identification of discrepancies, risks, and concerns.

Examine and compare contract documents against proposals for accuracy.

Follow standard operating procedures and contractual specifications.

Work within a team environment.

Assist Subcontracts team as required.

Manage small size subcontracts as assigned.

Monitors current status of assigned contracts.

Engage with program teams and customers to ensure that the program is always executing to contract requirements including cost, funding, schedule, and deliverables.

Organize proposal efforts to comply with Request for Proposals, various laws, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures

Review contract documents and correspondences and communicates external direction to the internal program management team, prepare and issue Contract Work Authorizations as needed.

May conduct research to support contract audits and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.

Attend customer meetings and record minutes as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Required

Associate degree in business, Public Administration, Finance, or related discipline.

2 years of prior relevant experience.

Ability to draft simple contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred

Minimum of 1 to 2 years progressive Contracts experience in the Government sector or other relevant experience.

Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.

Ability to maintain strong customer relationships.

Experience with large prime contractors.

Experience with Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable subcontracts.

Excellent communication and written skills.
