The Senior Facility Contract Negotiator is the negotiation lead for hospitals (including Integrated Delivery Systems), ambulatory surgery centers and skilled nursing facilities. This individual will be the owner of end-to-end process for facility contracting including compliance with company templates, reimbursement standards and process controls. The Negotiator works with sales, medical management and finance to develop actions to meet market growth and medical cost targets.
Qualifications:
5+ year’s hospital and other facility negotiation experience required.
Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of equivalent experience required.
Experience in commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business is required.
Understanding of complex negotiations, different rate methodologies and value-based reimbursement models required.
Experience in two or more payment models including capitation, bundled payments, and/or risk-sharing arrangements is preferred.
In-depth understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and New York State fee schedules and payment methodologies is required. Experience in any combination of the above is preferred.
Understanding of legal and regulatory contract compliance and network adequacy requirements is required.
Ability to work well with in a group dynamic as well as on own required.
Demonstrated ability to think critically is required.
A strong public speaking ability is required.
CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance.
