Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Network Security Engineer with expertise in deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments. Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls in cloud and enterprise networks.
• Manage firewalls and network filters across enterprise, store, and cloud environments.
• Develop and implement intrusion prevention policies.
• Configure and maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
• Manage network access control systems and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Operate web access proxies and perform URL filtering.
• Administer Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and manage certificates.
• Ensure DNS security and respond to network security incidents.
• Conduct threat research, vulnerability remediation, and implement compensating controls.
• Create, document, and maintain network security policies, including exception management.
• Manage multi-factor authentication tokens and processes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on cross-functional projects and enhance partnership opportunities with other business units.
• Assist in network security platform testing, vulnerability management, and operating system hardening to reduce attack surface.
• Develop and maintain security standards, policies, and workflows.
• Participate in creating and following professional development and training plans.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3 years of relevant experience in network or network security roles.
• Experience deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of network security concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion prevention.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) frameworks, including multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Familiarity with DNS security, PKI, certificate management, and web proxies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve moderately complex issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and seek guidance for complex issues.
Certifications (at least one required):
• Vendor-specific certifications (preferred):
• Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP (Security preferred)
• Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS (-SEC preferred)
Vendor-neutral certifications:
