QA Engineer

Job Summary:

This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and processes. The QA Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing tests, as well as communicating results to colleagues in engineering, business, and editorial teams. A key responsibility is developing strategies to improve test coverage and accelerate test cycles through effective use of automation and analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and manage tests across different environments.

• Communicate test results clearly with engineering, business, and editorial teams.

• Develop strategies to enhance test coverage and speed up test cycle execution using automation tools.

• Work with automation frameworks and analysis tools to ensure efficiency in testing processes.

• Ensure thorough testing of not only websites but the entire WordPress ecosystem, including front-end and back-end functionalities.

• Understand the Monolithic WordPress environment, including how data is stored, accessed, and integrated across themes and plugins.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with testing frameworks and tools, including Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and PHPUnit.

• Familiarity with tools such as Ghost Inspector.

• Understanding of WordPress's two front-end environments: Creator and Reader.

• In-depth knowledge of the theme and plugin ecosystem in WordPress.

• Expertise in the following areas:

• Playwright C# Testing

• Playwright Python Testing

• Selenium-C# Testing

• Selenium-Java Testing

• Selenium-Python Testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple testing tasks.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelors Degree
