Essential Job Functions:
Conducts initial orientation session with all new Cage Cashiers, reviewing all company and departmental policies and proceduresComplimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp MatrixMaintains the Cage Operations and closely supervises all cash flow and accompanying transactions in and out of the Cages, i.e., checks cashed and redeeming ticketsMake fills of additional coin and currency to individual cashier drawers from the Main Bank, as necessary, ensuring each such transaction is accurately documentedBuys excess items from individual Cashier cash drawers such as currency, ensuring each transaction is accurately documentedHandles safekeeping, counter check, front money transactions, cashless wagering, RSI online betting transactionsEnsures right security is maintained in the Cages, with all unattended cash drawers and cabinets locked and no unauthorized personnel admitted into the Cages at any timeSupervises the overall Casino Cage operations and personnel during an assigned shift, ensuring all activities and distinguishing job duties are performed according to the established company and departmental policies, procedures and goalsPrepares weekly team member schedules, ensures adequate staffing during peak volume periods and less staffing during low utilization periodsConducts frequent team member meetings with the Cashiers to review and discuss various policies and procedures, address problems and concernsEnsures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming CommissionResolves any disputes that Cage team members are not able to resolve or refer the problem to the Shift Manager Cage if still unable to resolveMonitors key control systemPerforms Cage Cashier distinguishing job duties when necessaryOversees credit activities including processing credit applications, access to sensitive information, and maintaining credit filesPerforms all other duties as assignedQualifications:
Previous experience as a Cashier preferred, with prior supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of all essential Cage and Credit functionsTyping skills, 10-Key, and computer data entry skillsHigh volume money handling skillsAbility to positively interact and communicate with team members and guestsAbility to be a Team playerMust be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidaysAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingWorking Conditions:
Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeMust occasionally lift up to 30 poundsFrequently required to stoop, crouch or kneelAbility to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanorPossible exposure to high noise level for extended periods of time
