CBIZ is ranked as a Top 20 Largest Broker of U.S. Business (Business Insurance Magazine) and a Top 100 Retirement Plan Adviser (PLANADVISER).Essential Functions and Primary DutiesAchieve organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staffAssumes accountability for decisions made by subordinate staffMay spend a portion of time performing individual tasks related to the unit, however, supervisory activities constitutes a primary part of the jobProvide major input into hiring decisionsProvide major input into rewarding and disciplinary actionsExecute annual goals and prioritiesSupervise staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectivesInfluence the direction for new or revised services, programs, processes, standards, or operation plansAnalyze and resolve problems interprets policies and demonstrate solid subject matter knowledgeExercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate actionProvide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinate staffListen and resolve grievancesAdditional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED requiredOver 8 years' experience in area of expertise with increasing complexityAt least 6 years' experience managing and leading staffMust maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertiseDemonstrate industry experience; product knowledge, proposal process, underwriting, regulatory trends, and presentations skillsProficient use of applicable technologyDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyExpert knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations impacting disciplineExpertise in managing clientsAdvanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
