Minimum base pay $23.00/hr.

This position is responsible for setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop. Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.

Pay based on level of experience and qualifications.

Required Skills

Reads, interprets and understands blueprints and operation sheets.

Performs functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts. Machines could include lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers

Maybe required to assists less experience machinists

Must have working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets

Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments

Required Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Completion of 2 year Technical School training preferred

Minimum of 1 year of hands on shop experience required, 2-5 years preferred

Must have working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets

Completion of Technical School training preferred
