Position Overview

In this role, you will take charge of cultivating and managing relationships with both potential and existing clients in the transportation and warehousing industries. You will identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and develop tailored sales presentations that resonate with clients. With a focus on achieving an annual sales quota, you will negotiate contracts and collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and nurture relationships with prospective and current clients.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transportation and warehousing sectors.Generate and follow up on sales leads to convert opportunities into clients.Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.Negotiate pricing structures and contracts with clients to close deals effectively.Collaborate with internal teams to meet and exceed client expectations.Attend industry events and networking functions to expand your professional network and stay informed about industry trends.Monitor and report on sales performance, tracking progress against established goals.Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.Continuously enhance your knowledge of the transportation industry to better serve clients.Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of executive-level experience in selling large third-party logistics solutions or at least a decade of relevant supply chain experience with a focus on growth initiatives and direct customer engagement.Familiarity with one or more areas such as distribution center management, dedicated fleet services, and transportation management.5-10 years of experience working in the Central Valley region, specifically with transportation and warehousing clients; an established book of business is a significant advantage.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.Proficient in a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with sales CRM systems is preferred.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
