DescriptionAssured Information Security (AIS) is looking for a System Administrator to support our customer in Annapolis Junction, MD! In this role, you'll be responsible for Architecture & Engineering solutions, Testing, Certification Accreditation and System Security, Configuration Management, Integration and Deployment and Operations Maintenance.
This is an onsite position and requires an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly.How You'll SucceedYou'll succeed by providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. You'll manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. In addition, you'll:Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.Your ExpertiseYou have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.You have 10 years' experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.You have an active TS/SCI with FS Poly.You have the following:
5 years' experience in the design, plan, installation, configuration and sustainment of a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment.5 years' experience in the creation of automation scripts for configuration, backup and restoration using well known scripting languages (for example bash/Perl).3 years' experience in implementing OS level clustering5 years' experience performing Puppet system administration5 years' experience installing software from YUM repositories, RPM Files, tar-balls or source code5 years' experience in researching, acquiring and applying IAVA patches5 years' experience in using Unix/Linux command line5 years' experience with VMWare architecture, Installation and configuration, as well as experience with facilitating failover with VMotion, VMWare template library and VMWare monitoring capability.

US Salary Range: $135,000 - $195,000The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience.
