ADVICS North America, Inc. seeks Software Engineer in Plymouth, MI.
Develop new tools and processes to improve quality and efficiency; perform root-cause analysis to determine failures in software and hardware; perform all necessary steps to ensure the brake control software's performance is meeting customer and internal specifications; understand current logic specification and C-code; possess detailed knowledge of vehicle CAN protocols and diagnostics; have basic electrical system knowledge and use of multi-meters and oscilloscopes; develop C-code logic and generate unit/integration test cases; document the development and deployment of the solution using the internal software change request system; participate in DRBFM/DMFEA reviews and document creation; develop internal systems to ensure ISO 26262 requirements are being achieved; develop HIL/SIL environment and vehicle simulations to ensure software performance; participate in technical discussions with management, internal and external customers and suppliers.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field plus 4 years of related experience. Requires 4 years experience in the following: ABS braking systems, TCS braking systems, ESC braking systems, embedded systems, and general and control engineering tools: ETAS, Racelogic, MATLAB, Simulink, dSPACE, CAN Vector tools.
Alternative requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field plus 1 year of related experience. Requires 1 year experience in the following: ABS braking systems, TCS braking systems, ESC braking systems, embedded systems, and general and control engineering tools: ETAS, Racelogic, MATLAB, Simulink, dSPACE, CAN Vector tools.
40 hours/week, 50-75% domestic travel required.
