SUMMARY
The Auxiliary Programs Manager supports the development, implementation, and oversight of Congressional's summer program, extended hours program, rentals, school store, transportation services, and other non-tuition revenue-generating programs. The Auxiliary Programs Associate will ensure that all programs offer fun, safe, and enriching opportunities for students that align with Congressional's vision, mission, and values. This role requires hands-on collaboration with a diverse group of administrators and staff to support a campus-wide approach. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Camp and Program Communications:
Manage communications for camp and auxiliary programs across various platforms, including email, social media, website, and phone.
Primary Contact for Camp Families:
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective and returning camp families.
Extended Hours Program Oversight:
Direct and support Extended Hours Program (after-school) staff, Monday-Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, and during occasional weekends.
Seasonal Recruitment and Staffing:
Manage recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and placement of seasonal camp and after-school auxiliary staff.
Payroll Management:
Oversee payroll for seasonal camp staff and after-school auxiliary programs.
Leadership in Camp Team:
Serve as a member of the Summer Camp Seasonal Leadership Team.
Digital Marketing Support:
Contribute to website updates and social media campaigns to promote auxiliary programs.
Compliance and Documentation:
Assist with compliance documentation for the American Camp Association and local/state licensing requirements.
Program Development:
Develop camp, enrichment, recreational, and after-school activities to enhance program offerings.
Policy and Procedure Support:
Aid in the formulation and implementation of auxiliary program policies and procedures.
School Store Operations:
Assist with in-person and online school store operations, including retail sales, quality control, marketing, and managing sales, billing, and inventory.
Student Support:
Collaborate with parents, administration, and faculty to address the needs of students in after-school programs.
Facility Rentals Support:
Assist with weekend and after-school rentals of school facilities.
Transportation Management:
Coordinate transportation services for summer and after-school programs, including scheduling bus routes, overseeing student pick-up and drop-off logistics, and communicating transportation details with families and staff.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in marketing, communications, education, camp administration, recreational management, or related fields is preferred.
Program Management:
Demonstrated ability to create, administer, supervise, and implement programs for students and campers.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel, database systems, social media, and other technology tools.
