ABOUT THE POSITIONVHB is looking for a Urband Planning Intern to join our New York team. This role will provide support to a wide range of planning projects.ResponsibilitiesPrepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
Assist in site analysis, concept development, feasibility studies, and the preparation of master planning documentation including sustainability, transportation and resilience planningParticipate in public engagement and outreach effortsEffectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely mannerProject management supportSkills and AttributesExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsFast learner, self-motivatedHighly organizedCapable of coordinating and performing multiple tasks concurrentlyStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and GISExperience with SketchUp and Adobe Suite a plusQualificationsPursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in urban planning/studies, environmental science, public policy, or a related field.Our best estimate of the hourly salary range for this position located in New York is $19/hr - $28/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.VHB does not provide housing for internships.We are VHB!
