Job Title: Software Configuration Management Engineer - PACCAR Technical Center Requisition Summary The Software Configuration Management team is responsible for verifying software releases and the management of this content for North American vehicles. This team acts as an essential intermediary between various engineering organizations who are dependent on the team's support for the delivery of quality Powertrain products. Job Functions / Responsibilities Perform software and calibration content verification for vehicle and engine systems Run verification simulations and troubleshoot software and hardware using test benches and in-vehicles Maintain version control and configuration management of software and calibrations, and ensure appropriate processes are followed to release and distribute the software Provide support for various engineering departments on both a scheduled and ad hoc basic Collaborate and facilitate meetings with engineering stakeholders as required Create and maintain organizational, procedural, and technical documentation, and contribute to process definition as well as improve upon existing processes Fosters excellent communication, establishes, and maintains cooperative and productive work relations with other working groups Ability to travel up to 5% Required Qualifications Ability to understand technical issues and relay them to varying expertise levels Ability to work well across many different organizations and divisions Ability to excel in a team environment as well as self-direct Organized and disciplined with an ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands Strong communication and collaboration skills Close attention to details of individual work products Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with programming or scripting languages Education Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate technical field is required.
