Our client, an AMLAW200 law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join our Complex Commercial Litigation team in Houston. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in handling complex commercial litigation matters, excellent analytical skills, and a dedication to providing top-tier client service.

*Litigation Associate Responsibilities*

* Case Management:

* Independently manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate work.

* Research & Analysis:

* Conduct thorough legal research, analyze intricate legal issues, and draft high-quality memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.

* Discovery:

* Oversee all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and managing electronic discovery.

* Court Appearances:

* Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

* Client Interaction:

* Maintain proactive communication with clients, provide strategic advice, and develop strong relationships to understand and meet their legal needs.

* Collaboration:

* Work collaboratively with partners, senior associates, and other team members to develop case strategies and execute effective legal tactics.

* Business Development:

* Participate in business development initiatives, including attending networking events, writing articles, and contributing to client pitches.

*Litigation Associate Position Requirements*

* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

* 3-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a reputable law firm.

* Active member in good standing of the Texas State Bar.

* Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills; strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.

* Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

* Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and familiarity with electronic discovery platforms.
